Yes, it’s the Striders Advent Challenge and 25 days of Christmas-themed challenges to try during the festive period that runs 29th November to 24th December.
The activites can be completed in any order and multiple challenges can be completed in the same day/evening so yes you can have a day off!
Post your photos on the Facebook and Whatsapp groups and there are prizes for the most completed challenges for Male/Female plus bonus points for selfies!
- Christmas Strava Art.
- A 30 minute run including a church or Cathedral.
- Run the hills in Chartham.
- Deliver a secret Santa gift to another strider.
- Go for a seaside run
- Run the winter solstice (Mon 21 Dec) either sunrise or sunset.
- Run along a new road/trail.
- Run with someone new.
- Press up your age.
- Selfie with a Christmas tree
- Sing a carol whilst running.
- Run wearing a Santa hat.
- Wish someone you pass a merry Christmas
- 25 second plank.
- Tell a Christmas joke to someone you run with
- Selfie with a reindeer/donkey/horse
- Run past holly and ivy bushes.
- Find a partridge and a pear tree or similar
- Shop local.. 30 minute run then buy something from Shop on the Green.
- Reindeer run.. Run backwards for 500 metres
- Run wearing something red
- Sing a line of a carol outside Chartham Church
- Selfie with an unusual Christmas item
- Wear some tinsel whilst running
- Run around the village to see the Christmas lights.
